FAQ

Couriers can collect properly prepared boxes, letter envelopes, padded envelopes with bubble wrap inside, as well as special partner packaging. It is important that the shipment is fully prepared and properly packed before the courier arrives. If the shipment is not ready, the courier will not collect it, and a repeated collection will need to be ordered for the next business day. In such a case, an additional fee may be charged for the repeated courier call-out.

More information about proper packaging and possible additional charges can be found on the relevant FAQ pages.

When ordering a shipment delivery service, you must provide the exact sender and recipient details - addresses, contact phone numbers, and other information required for delivery. After placing the order, you will also need to print the shipment documents and attach them securely in a clearly visible place on the shipment.

It is important that all details are provided accurately, as they determine the smooth collection, tracking, and delivery of the shipment. More information: how to send a parcel.

Before placing the order, you must know the exact dimensions and weight of the already packed shipment. If you provide inaccurate details, the shipment price may be recalculated, delivery may take longer, and the courier may later apply additional charges and issue an additional invoice. Therefore, before placing the order, we recommend measuring and weighing the shipment accurately.
Describe the contents of the shipment as accurately and specifically as possible. Indicate exactly what is being sent, the quantity of each item, and its value. Avoid general descriptions such as "gift", "items", or "goods", because if the information is not precise enough, the shipment may be held in customs or delivery may take longer. The more accurate the description of the shipment contents, the smoother the declaration, transportation, and, if necessary, claim handling process will be.
More information and examples of how to describe shipment contents correctly can be found in the guide for shipping to the USA.

An order for delivery of a shipment containing the above items may be canceled without notice, detained by the Customs and destroyed, and any attempt to conceal dangerous and / or harmful materials or illegal goods may result in the client being prosecuted or imprisoned and may result in substantial fines. The Customer agrees to indemnify the courier companies and Sendparcel.com for any damage, costs and fees that they may incur as a result of the discovery of unauthorized items and the violation of laws or regulations regarding their shipment. Therefore, if you are unsure if the item you are shipping is not on the list of prohibited items and you’d like to get more information, please contact Customer Support Specialists by email at [email protected], phone +370 700 35000 or through Live chat on our website before ordering a delivery service.

Not in all cases does a shipment have to be packed specifically in a box, but every item being sent must be packed properly. Depending on the size and nature of the shipment, it may be packed in a box, an envelope, a padded envelope with bubble wrap inside, or special courier packaging. The most important thing is that the packaging protects the contents of the shipment during transportation. Unpacked items are not accepted.

A shipment must be packed in such a way that its contents are protected during transportation from impacts, pressure, and other possible damage. We recommend protecting the shipment contents with additional packaging materials such as bubble wrap, air cushions, foam pellets, cardboard inserts, strong paper, or foam boards, and then placing everything into sturdy and durable outer packaging.

It is important to know that the courier may refuse to accept an improperly packed shipment. If the shipment is not packed securely enough, in the event of damage a claim or compensation may not apply. You can find detailed packaging requirements and examples on the parcel packaging page.

Proper shipment packaging is the sender's responsibility. If the shipment is packed improperly, the courier may refuse to accept it, and in the event of shipment damage a claim or compensation may not apply.

As packaging requirements and recommendations may be updated, you will always find detailed and up-to-date information about proper and improper packaging on the parcel packaging page.

Additional fees are most commonly charged when the actual dimensions or weight of the shipment differ from the details provided in the order, or when the shipment is packed improperly. In such cases, the courier may hold the shipment, repack it, or apply an additional charge according to its rules. To avoid such charges, it is important to always provide accurate shipment details and pack the shipment in accordance with the packaging requirements. Please also note that improper packaging may result in the loss of the right to compensation in the event of shipment damage. If you believe the fee was applied incorrectly, contact us via Live Help.
