Important information regarding parcel shipping during quarantine in Lithuania

Due to the tightened quarantine in Lithuania, from the 16th of December 2020, we demand to place your orders at home, call a courier or deliver parcels safely to the selected parcel locker.

It will NOT BE POSSIBLE to place an order or pack your parcel at our Sendparcel offices in Kaunas (Veiverių g. 142) and Vilnius (J. Ralio g. 6), Lithuania. Only fully prepared parcels with all the necessary documents can be brought to our office.

Due to the high number of shipments, delays are possible and some exceptions apply:

GLS / Itella When shipping parcels abroad, first make sure that the recipient will have an opportunity to receive the parcel. Undelivered shipments will be returned to the sender, due to the current situation shipments cannot be stored in the terminals.
  Contactless delivery of parcels takes place.
   
Venipak Only contactless delivery is available. All parcels are delivered within 2 meters of the consignee without direct contact with the Consignee.
 

Contactless delivery of parcels to private individuals will be carried out using PIN codes, which will ensure that the parcel will be delivered to the correct recipient while maintaining a safe distance.

How will this work?
1. On the day of delivery, an SMS message with a PIN code will be sent to the recipient's mobile phone number.
2. At the time of delivery, the recipient will have to dictate the received PIN code to the courier, who will check whether the PIN code is correct by entering it into the scanner.

 

Due to the large flow of parcels, from now on Venipak parcels will also be delivered to LP EXPRESS parcel lockers.

   
LP Express

Due to the increase number of parcels LP Express is ajusting its operations to ensure parcels are delivered as quickly as possible. Several changes will be introduced in the near future:
• Mobile collections points will be operating in Vilnius. In other words, next to the most popular LP Express parcel terminals, couriers will be handing out the parcels to the receiver at the specified time;
• In other cities, if the parcel self-service terminal is fully filled, the parcel can be picked up at the nearest post office. When the courier delivers the parcels to the post office, an SMS message will be sent to the recipient with an offer to pick up the parcel by post. Currently, parcels are issued at the following post offices: Gargždai, Kretinga, Šilalė, Kelmė, Kupiškis, Rokiškis, Vilkaviškis. It is planned to do the same in the near future at Kėdainiai and Vilnius district, Riešė and Balsiai post offices. The post office list may change if necessary;
• from the 26th of November when delivering a parcel, courier will ask to dictate a code which is sent to the reciever via SMS. In the event that the recipient does not receive this code, loses it or is otherwise unable to provide the code to the courier, current collection practice will be followed - you' ll need to show the last 4 digits of the ID number.
 

  Prepare a separate place / area away from people to receive and deliver parcels. If the parcels are not prepared and placed in a special area, the courier may refuse to pick up the parcels.
 
 

There are three courier delivery options:
• delivery of the consignment to the consignee's address up to the threshold in a safe distance;
• directing the parcel to the LP EXPRESS parcel self-service terminal;
• parcel forwarding to the post office.
Courier contacts the recipient directly by phone to arrange delivery details.
 

  Undelivered shipments will be stored in the logistics center for less than 7 days. Also, it is not possible to pick up shipments from the logistics center.
 
  IMPORTANT: Due to the current situation, both in Lithuania and in the world, there is a very large flow of parcels and transportation challenges faced. Due to this reason, the terms for both PARCEL PICK UP and PARCEL DELIVERIES are delayed up to 5 W.D in Lithuania, and PARCEL DELIVERIES abroad may be delayed longer (up to 10 additional weeks depending on the country parcel is being shipped).
   
DHL Parcel pick-ups in China can take up to 3-5 w.d.

Given the significant impacts of COVID-19 on the global aviation industry, the courier company is temporarily adjusting Express services rates and introduces a temporary Emergency Situation Surcharge (ESS) from the 24th of April 2020. Sendparcel.com, as courier brokers, must also follow this path. You'll see the final price in the price calculator - EES is included. We will notify you separately of the termination of this surcharge.

   
DPD

Contactless delivery process for private individuals has been updated. From now on the recipient's signature on the courier scanner is replaced by a PIN code. The PIN code is sent via SMS.

  When sending shipments abroad, first make sure that the recipient of the shipment will have the opportunity to accept the shipment, as if the shipment fails to be delivered, it will be returned to the sender immediately.
  All parcels will be stored in DPD parcel lockers for 3 days from the moment the consignee receives an SMS message with the door PIN code.
   
Omniva

From the 5th of November temporary changes of parcel delivery are introduced throughout Lithuania:

Courier delivery services to private customers are temporarily suspended.
To minimize contact and the potential spread for coronavirus, all courier parcels will be redirected to parcel lockers without prior notice.

• Parcels to/from business customers will be collected and delivered by the courier in a contactless manner.
Please ensure the parcels are packaged safely and leave it for the collection outdoors or as close to the entrance to the premises as possible. Before courier’s arrival, the courier will contact the consignee and will instruct about the contactless method of delivery and deliver the parcel to the address only if the consignee is at the workplace at that time. Upon arrival at the delivery address, the courier will place the shipment next to the office, warehouse door or loading ramp, take a photo of it, enter the name of the consignee on the scanner and withdraw. The courier will leave the area only after making sure that the recipient has picked up the shipment.

  Parcel delivery to private customers may take up to 3 working days.
   
TNT and Siųsk pigiau Maximum real or volumetric weight of shipments allowed to send from China per client is 100 kg per one business day. Due to the high volume of shipments, delivery from China may be delayed.
